If I already have the Wii Fit, should I upgrade and get the Wii Fit plus?

The Wii fit plus looks pretty convincing and it’s only $20 so I’m thinking of buying it. Although, I already have the Wii fit so is it basically unnecessary to purchase the plus. I’m content with the exercises I have for Wii fit, but I’m just looking for a little more of something. Should I buy it? Is it worth the money?

It is SO worth the money!

Imagine you can cross the fun but worthless balance games with the aerobics section. Now, make a big section of your fun-but-worthwhile hybrid. That’s the new section they threw into Wii Fit Plus. And remember, we got the original game with its four sections for $90. A fifth section for $20 isn’t bad at all.

Wii Fit Plus also addresses some things I thought were broken or at least frustrating in the old game: not enough cardio (though I still have to go to my other programs for really good cardio, it made a step in the right direction!), the inability to stream together exercises, no calorie information. Improvements have been made in all of these areas.

When people ask if they should get Wii Fit Plus at all, I ask about their lifestyle a bit and encourage them to try a friend’s copy before committing. When you know you love Wii Fit and wonder if the upgrade is worth it, though, the answer is an unambiguous YES!
